The brief

A campus is not one building.

A mixed-use campus brings together spaces with different opening hours, different comfort expectations and different operating teams. The integration challenge is to give each building the control it needs while keeping one view across the site.

This reference application shows how one automation platform can serve that range: workplaces, training rooms, guest accommodation, logistics and a show home, with local control in each building and central supervision where it matters.

01 / Need

What the campus needs

Different spaces, one operating standard.

  • Local control for each building, independent of the central network.
  • A common data model across workplace, hospitality and logistics spaces.
  • Energy and comfort visibility at building and campus level.

02 / Response

What the platform does

One architecture, applied at different scales.

  • Loxone controllers run lighting, climate, shading and access locally in each building.
  • A central supervision layer normalises alarms, schedules and energy data across the site.
  • Application views give operators and management the resolution they need.

03 / Demonstrates

What it demonstrates

  • One platform can serve workplace, hospitality and logistics spaces without forcing the same interface on each.

  • Local control keeps each building usable when the wider network is unavailable.

  • A campus-level view is possible without centralising every control decision.
