Restaurant chain
McDonald's Zvolen
A new McDonald's restaurant on a greenfield site in Zvolen runs on a fully integrated Loxone system, delivered from design through control and cabling. The installation manages HVAC, background lighting, irrigation, the entrance air curtain, audio, access, energy statistics and RGBW lighting scenes from one platform, giving the operator reliable, data-driven control of daily operations.

01 / Challenge
What the project had to solve.
The task was to build and commission a new McDonald's on a greenfield site with a fully integrated automation system. The operator wanted a reliable, energy-efficient and data-driven facility that would keep operating costs under control, raise comfort for staff and guests, and produce accurate data for managing and improving the restaurant. Every key technology had to work as one system, from the dining area and storage rooms to corridors, changing rooms and the outdoor grounds, rather than as a collection of independent controls.
02 / Response
How the system was delivered.
Loxone was deployed from design to complete implementation of control and system cabling, centrally managing all key building technologies. CO₂ and temperature monitoring adjust HVAC output to the current operating load, with higher output at peak hours and reduced consumption after closing. Background lighting in storage rooms, corridors and changing rooms runs only where and when needed. A weather station drives predictive irrigation that holds off in rain, while the entrance air curtain activates on movement to limit heat loss. Energy and attendance data, audio announcements, access permissions, RGBW campaign lighting, smoke sensors, visitor counting and remote supervision complete the scope.
